REGINALD DICKSON

 

Reginald Dickson is Chairman of the Board and Executive Vice President – Community Relations and Corporate Culture of St. Louis, Mo.-based BYW Investment Advisors, Inc.  BYW is a multi-cultural, minority-controlled firm that reverse-tithes to charity the fees it earns helping institutional clients achieve investment objectives.

BYW is the second investment firm Dickson has helped launch. In 1995, he co-founded St. Louis’ first minority-owned asset management firm.  From 1982-1992, he was president and chief executive officer of INROADS, an organization that connects minority college students with summer internships and corporate mentoring programs across the nation.

Dickson currently serves on the board of directors of Huntington Preferred Capital Inc. and is a former director of First American Bank (now Regions Bank) and Dollar General Corporation.  He is a regent of Harris-Stowe State University (HSSU).  From 2004-2011, he was a regent of Southeast Missouri State University (SEMO).

Dickson has bachelor’s degrees from Harris-Stowe Teachers College and Washington University in St. Louis, Mo.  He is within three credit hours of earning a master’s degree in business administration from Saint Louis University.

Dickson lives in St. Louis, Mo. with his wife of 46 years, Illona White Dickson, a bishop in the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World.  The couple has three children: Kia Jeffrey; Brandon, a recent graduate of HHSU; and Rachel, a recent graduate of the University of Missouri-St. Louis. Kia’s daughter, Nia, is a junior at SEMO and on the dean’s list.
